IV международная научно-практическая конференция «Лечение головной боли: 100 лет открытий и новые горизонты»

Место проведения конференции: г. Москва, Novotel, Москва-сити время проведения 16-17 марта 2018 года

Организаторы : Университетская клиника головной боли и АНО Евразийское медицинское Общество современных технологий, при подддержке Европейской федерации головной боли.

Темами докладов зарубежных участников конференции были абузусная головная боль, нейростимуляция при лечении головных болей. Большое внимание было уделено мигрени: новым способам её профилактики, подходам к ведению пациентов с рефрактерной формой и случаям, когда мигрень сочетается с психическими расстройствами. Российские специалисты по головной боли обсудили вопросы о развитии научного знания о патогенезе мигрени, методах и средствах лечения – вплоть до самых новых классов препаратов, которые готовятся к выходу на рынок.

Эксперты также уделили большое внимание дифференциальному диагнозу мигрени и эпилепсии, лечению миофасциального болевого синдрома, головным болям в неотложной практике. В рамках блока о современных подходах к диагностике и лечению головных болей были представлены доклады о головной боли напряжения, дифференцированной терапии мигрени, использовании антидепрессантов. Специалисты из российских центров лечения головной боли поделились собственным опытом с фокусом на разных аспектах: от тригеминальных вегетативных цефалгий до менструальной мигрени, боли в лице, связи мигрени с когнитивными нарушениями. The term Personalised Medicine has been extensively used within the last years to describe a paradigm shift in research and medical application towards an evidence based medicine.

The Tübingen congress will focus on the clinical applicability of PM. Specifically we will highlight aquisition and analysis of highly complex data from patients, the role of functional imaging in multiomics approaches and the translation of these techniques into clinical descision making. Topics of the meeting will encompass different medical fields including oncology, cardiology, immunology, neurological disorders, infectious diseases and others.

Herewith we cordially invite you to come to Maastricht, the Netherlands, from Wednesday June 15 till Saturday June 18, 2016, to participate in the European Congress of Perinatal Medicine (ECPM), organized by the European Association of Perinatal Medicine (EAPM).

The ECPM is a biannual meeting where about 1500-2000 specialists in the field of perinatal medicine meet. With specialists we not only mean midwives, obstetricians and neonatologists but also those professionals who work in the very important adjacent fields such as child pathology, paediatric surgery, genetics, prenatal diagnosis and IVF. In June 2016 it will have been nine years since the initiation of the first International Symposium on Focal Therapy and Imaging in Prostate and Kidney Cancer. We wish to return to the site of the inaugural meeting and host the 9th International Symposium on Focal Therapy and Imaging in Prostate and Kidney Cancer at the Washington Duke Inn Hotel in Durham, North Carolina, on June 23-25, 2016.

Much has transformed the landscape of prostate cancer over these last years. To start, there has been a growing recognition of the overtreatment of prostate cancer, with now a shift towards expectant management prior to consideration of radical whole gland therapy for select men with early stage prostate cancer. This understanding bodes well for focal therapy, as we have positioned it to be a minimally-invasive treatment that destroys the known area(s) of cancer while preserving a man's continence and potency. Today, there is growing interest in focal therapy for kidney and prostate cancers by physicians and patients alike.

At the recent 8th International Symposium held in the Netherlands we also witnessed the confidence and enthusiasm for incorporating real-time imaging into the diagnostic and treatment strategy for prostate and kidney cancer. In the coming year, we anticipate the continuedexponential growth in new modalities and paradigms in the focal treatment of urogenital cancer.

In 2016, for the first time, the Immunology Section and the Biologicals Interest Group of EAACI will organise a Master Class on Translational Immunology in Allergic Diseases. State of the art training on novel therapies and current unmet needs in allergic disorders will be addressed. Participants will receive the knowledge and training required to effectively use these immunological tools in the clinic.

Programme

The Master Class will be held over two days and will include plenary style lectures, coupled with interactive case discussion sessions. During the first day, leading experts in the field will provide comprehensive updates on how to identify phenotypes and immunological endotypes in patients suffering from asthma, allergic rhinitis, atopic dermatitis, urticaria, food allergy, eosinophilic esophagitis and those patients undergoing immunotherapy. The basic immunological mechanisms underpinning these clinical phenotypes and endotypes will also be discussed. During the second day, there will be detailed clinical presentations on the use of anti-IgE, anti-IL-5, anti-IL-4 and anti-IL-13 in the clinic. Specifically, participants will learn how and when to use these biologics, how to prevent, recognise and manage side-effects and how to treat difficult patients. Interactive sessions involving case presentations by faculty and participants will ensure that the new knowledge can be applied in a real world setting. Finally, novel immune targets and microbiome targets currently in development and clinical trials for allergy and asthma patients will be discussed.

Breast cancer is the most common type of cancer in women worldwide. More than 1.7 million cases were diagnosed in 2012, with half a million deaths in the same year. Tomosynthesis detects 40% more breast cancers than traditional mammography does, according to a major screening study from Lund University, Sweden. This is the first large-scale study to compare the screening method with regular mammograms. The new 3-D X-ray technique is also more comfortable for women, as breast compression is halved. A total of 7,500 women aged 40–74 took part in the first half of the study, which formed the basis for the findings.
